President’s Program Distinction

This scholarship is awarded to first-year students. Winners will be selected on the basis of a combination of class rank, ACT score and membership of certain groups (underrepresented groups, people in need, etc.). Students are appointed by a UIC Chancellor and interviewed. All students will automatically be considered for this scholarship, so no separate applications are required. Students may not realize that every college and every school has its own department. LAS College offers more than 20 different scholarships to high achievers and/or those with financial needs. University Fellowships

To be eligible for a scholarship, students must complete an application for a graduate degree and submit it to their program. Study Abroad Scholarships

A number of scholarships are available for UIC students wishing to study abroad. Some scholarships, such as Honors College Foreign Scholarships, are for students only. With this award, students can receive a scholarship ranging from $ 1,000 to $ 2,500. Other scholarships, such as the Max Kade Travel Scholarship, are open to all students wishing to study in a particular country. This prize includes rewards of no more than US $ 1,000 to help a UIC student who wishes to study in Germany.
